Welcome From The Pastor, June 18, 2023

Welcome to Temple Baptist Church on Father’s Day!  Today you are going to hear a great song sung by two wonderful fathers, Mark Wooley and Trent Mansfield.  Mark is our Minister of Music and Trent is head of the Media Team. We will also be recognizing three fathers today who are quite different!

The text for this morning’s sermon is from Psalm 127:3-5.  “Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.  As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth.  Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.”

Just as the first archers had to make, sharpen and send the arrow out, so must we, as fathers, make, sharpen and send our children out.   Let us pray that the fathers in this church will: (1) become mighty men for God (2) shape, sharpen, and send their children.  (3) work on father skills and (4) have Godly goals and desires for their family.
