Welcome to the house of the Lord, the house of prayer, the house of worship, the house of the Word of God. I pray you will sense the Spirit of the Lord during our time together.
Brother Roger Salomon will be our preacher this morning. He is a member of our church and has a compassion for people and the Word of God. He has served for several decades in full-time Christian Education across America. He continues to serve the Lord as he brings the Bread of Life to us today.
Have you planned to prioritize a goal or goals for your life this year? I tend to want to fix my own, as well as other people’s problems. It’s a guy thing! I have been reminded by the Word of God that I cannot fix anything of significance. That is the Holy Spirit’s job. There are times when stress goes off the chart and ministry goes off the rails. My joy is lost in worry and fear.
This fall Becky and I did a Bible study on realizing the Holy Spirit goes before us and guides us through our stresses and failures. We must all realize that we are not alone, that we do not have to carry the weight we were never intended to carry. This year let us all purpose in our lives to relish the presence of the Holy Spirit and experience the renewed strength, meaningful purpose, and vitality of life He offers.
