Missionaries to the Deaf of the Dominican Republic

Two New Deaf Ministries: Our family and nine others flew down to the DR on October 7th to begin a week of ministry among the deaf. We shared the gospel in Dominican sign language at four deaf schools and one church. As a result of this trip, Pastor Eric is meeting with national pastors to help start two new deaf ministries! We met Socrates at a deaf school; he has a 16-year-old son named Raphael who is deaf and does not know any sign language. At the end of our presentation, with tears in his eyes, he told us that he has been praying that someone would come and teach his son about Christ.
Officially Full Time: We are officially traveling full time. We gave up our full-time camper parking on October 22. Because Tim needs weekdays to contact pastors and plan our travel, Tim resigned his full-time position on November 1. While this has reduced our income by two-thirds, we pray that God will bless our faith in His provision as we strive to get on the field as soon as possible. Our tarted date to relocate to the Dr is September 1.
New Friends: Over the Autumn season, we have participated in two mission conferences and presented our ministry in 32 churches. To date, the Lord has provided 44% of our necessary monthly budget.
