Greetings to Temple Baptist Church! I pray that this New Year will be a blessing to you and a year to grow deeper with the Lord through studying His Word. The Bible says we are to not just read the Bible but study it. Come to Sunday Bible Study at 10 a.m. Sunday mornings and get off to a good start.
In the beginning of this New Year, I desire, as a church body, to explore the beginning of the Word of God from the book of Genesis. Why is the book of Genesis so important? Because how we approach the Bible with respect to origins speaks to how we will approach it everywhere else in the Bible. If we can’t trust the Bible when it speaks on the matter of creation in Genesis, why should we trust it to speak on salvation? Logically, what we believe regarding creation is important to the rest of our theology.
So, I have asked Mr. Bruce Malone and his wife, Robin, to be with us today in both morning services. They are with “Search for the Truth” ministry. “Search for the Truth” began with the desire to bring the evidence for creation to Christians and non-Christians who are unaware of the credibility of God’s Word when it deals with science and history. After you listen to him, you may want to visit their product table out in the lobby. They live in Michigan, so be sure to give them a warm welcome!
