In the Bible times, churches were referred to as “the House of Prayer.” In the past few months, the Lord has been leading our church to pray more and more. In the book of James 5:16 we read, “… The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” The “Men of Faith” meeting was a time for men to come together and pray. The Ladies Conference enjoyed God-loving ladies from nine churches coming together earlier this month to pray. Our Ladies’ Prayer Group is currently enjoying a Bible Study about Putting on the Whole Armor of God.
The praying temperature of any church is how many show up for a prayer meeting. Prayer is our strongest weapon against the Devil. Jesus fought off the attack of the Devil by praying. In Matthew 6, the disciples came to Jesus with a sincere request: “Lord teach us to pray.” In today’s message from Matthew 6, we will see just how Jesus taught His men to pray.
